Description
This 2014 $20 fine silver coin features a classic engraved image of a bison family at rest. The largest of all land animals in North America, the bison is a symbol of strength and an important part of the history of the Prairie region of Canada. Mintage is limited to just 7,500 coins worldwide. HST/GST exempt.
The Design:
The coin features a family grouping of three plains bison resting upon a grassy landscape on an early summer day. Above the resting bison the word "CANADA," the date "2014," and the face value of "20 DOLLARS." appear below. Edge lettering is also featured on this coin with the words “1 oz fine silver 1 oz argent pur” engraved in a repeating pattern.
