Description
This 2014 scalloped edge $150 pure gold coin pays tribute its ancient culture and traditions. It bestows upon its owner a blessing for a long life. It is also a work of art in pure gold, and a scarce collectible with a mintage of only 888 pieces. As a pure gold coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is GST/HST exempt.
The Design:
The gold coin reverse design by artist Charles Vinh features the side profile of two cranes standing on a pine tree branch. Their wings and tail feathers flow down behind them. To the left of the cranes are the Chinese symbol for “longevity”. Pine trees fill the top and the bottom of the image field. The front of this scalloped edge coin displays the words "CANADA", the year "2014", and the face value of "150 DOLLARS" around the rim.
