Description

This 2014 $10 pure gold coin issued by the Royal Canadian Mint celebrates the Canadian coinage effigy of Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. It combines the iconic Canadian maple leaf with our Sovereign to create a tribute to what have been symbols of our great country for more than sixty years. Mintage is limited to 1,500.  As a pure gold item struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is HST/GST exempt.

The Design:

This coin boasts an image of a profile portrait of HRM Queen Elizabeth II, created in 1952 by British sculptor Mary Gillick, while a simple but powerful depiction of sugar maple leaves grace the reverse. It is a perfect way to commemorate the Queen's lengthy reign.

This coin is struck in a quarter-ounce of 99.99% pure gold, in premium reverse-proof finish. It is engraved with the word "CANADA", the date "2014" and the face value of "10 DOLLARS".
