This 2012 collector issue pure silver proof dollar is arguably the most beautiful silver dollar coin ever produced in Canada. The mintage of this coin is limited to just 10,000. The entire mintage of this extremely popular coin was sold out at the Royal Canadian Mint before the first coins were delivered to collectors. As a pure silver coin, this item is GST/HST exempt.
The Design:
Native artist Richard Hunt’s design shows two loons kissing reflected in the water, with the beauty of a West Coast sunset captured in the fiery colours on the coin. The birds’ stunning markings are further represented in the ring of diamond shapes surrounding the image. The design covers the entire coin with vibrant colour painted over an engraved surface.
