HRH Prince William of Wales and Miss Catherine Middleton became engaged during a trip to Kenya in October 2010. Prince William carried the engagement ring—a stunning 18-karat sapphire surrounded by fourteen diamonds which had previously belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales—with him.
