Issued by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2000, this commemorative 25-cent coin features a design from the special Millennium Series. 

In April 1998 the RCM launched a nationwide design competition, inviting Canadians to create twenty-four unique quarters for each month of 1999 and 2000. While the 1999 coins reflected on Canada’s rich history, the 2000 collection turned its gaze toward the future.

Designed by artist Wade Stephen Baker, this coin features two wolves coming together to form a circle, creating a powerful Indigenous-inspired symbol of unity and togetherness. Encircling this beautiful design are the bilingual inscriptions "CANADA" and "FAMILY 2000 FAMILLE."
