To mark the 100th anniversary of his birth, the RCM has turned Alex Colville's centennial celebration of Canada into a six-coin centennial celebration of the artist. Each one of his 1967 circulation coin designs is being re-created and issued as a 1/10th-ounce pure gold coin. Each coin is struck in a 3.14 grams of pure gold. GST/HST Exempt.

• One dollar: Canada goose in flight; serene and dynamic
• Half-dollar: howling wolf; symbolic of the vastness of Canada
• 25 cents: bobcat; expressing independence and decisive action
• 10 cents: mackerel; symbol of continuity
• Five cents: rabbit; connected with fertility, new life and promise 
• One cent: dove; associated with spiritual values and peace
