In honour of the 100th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s birth, this two-coin set reflects the late sovereign’s legacy across two nations bound by history. Issued in collaboration, the commemorative coins offer a shared tribute to a monarch whose long reign shaped the modern identity of both countries; as Queen of the United Kingdom and of Canada, and as Head of the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth II served as a symbol of unity and devotion—a steady figure across generations and oceans, and a global figure of continuity and grace. The Design:
This set adds two 1 oz. silver coins to your collection: one from the Royal Canadian Mint and one from The Royal Mint, both struck in fine silver to Proof standard.
The coin from The Royal Mint features a reverse design by Timothy Noad MBE and shows Queen Elizabeth II’s Royal Cypher, with foliage inspired by ironwork at St George’s Chapel, the resting place of the late queen. The obverse features the portrait of His Majesty King Charles III by Martin Jennings.
The coin from the Royal Canadian Mint features a reverse design by Neil Hamelin and shows Queen Elizabeth II riding her horse Burmese during Trooping the Colour. The obverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.
