The snowy owl is the second set in the series of proof platinum coins dedicated to Canadian wildlife. This is a four coin set, and in denominations of $300, $150, $75, and $30. Their representations are as below:

• $300- snowy owl and babies
• $150- snowy owl in flight in front of the moon
• $7- snowy owls perched on branch
• $30- snowy owl portrait 

This set was part of the Royal Canadian Mint endangered wildlife series that featured Canadian endemic animals. This year's issue showcased the snowy owl, made from .9995 fine platinum. The reverse has a variety of images showcasing the owl, while the obverse has an effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This coin set comes presented in a beautiful wood case, and with a certificate of authenticity.
