Description
This 20-coin roll of circulated Morgan Silver Dollars features a uniform set from a single mint year, with separate date varieties available ranging from 1879 to 1921. Known as the "King of America’s Coins," the Morgan Dollar was designed by George T. Morgan and struck in 90% fine silver, representing the rugged spirit of the American West and the rapid industrialization of the Gilded Age. Each roll contains a substantial 15.47 troy oz of pure silver, making it a favorite for both bullion investors and history enthusiasts. These coins owe their existence to the Bland-Allison Act of 1878, which forced the U.S. Treasury to purchase millions of ounces of silver from Western mines like the Comstock Lode. Though hundreds of millions were originally struck, over 270 million were melted down under the Pittman Act of 1918 to support the British war effort in WWI, making the surviving specimens a limited and highly sought-after relic of the 19th century.
