Description
Minted for the province of New Brunswick, this 1864 20 cent piece bears a unique reverse design, thought to be attributed to George W. Wyon. One of only 150,000 produced, the coin's reverse design showcases much larger and ornate maple boughs with a more intricate and predominant crown. This particular coin maintains wonderful detail in its well struck relief. Only slight signs of wear can be found on this circulated coin, while design details remain in excellent condition. Original mint lustre can still be found in the recessed fields. A beautifully struck coin, with fantastic appeal.
