Description

For 150 years, the Supreme Court of Canada has upheld the rule of law and fostered public trust through its role as the highest court in Canada. For 2025, this dual-sided allegory design is a celebration of the institution’s rich history and its deep commitment to Justitia et Veritas, Justice and Truth, both of which are personified on this piece inspired by the statues that stand vigil over the front steps of the Court’s building in Ottawa. Justice stands beside Truth, who provides stabilizing support, as they work together to ensure a fair and safe environment for all. HST/GST Exempt.

The Design:

Not one but two allegorical figures are featured side-by-side within the coin’s open core, cast in 99.99% pure silver and plated with yellow gold. The design presents a contemporary take on Walter S. Allward’s statues of Veritas (Truth) and Ivstitia (Justice), located outside the Supreme Court of Canada building in Ottawa.
